Over 200-acre wildfire erupts north of Milaca

An over 200-acre grass fire located in the area of 230th Street just east of Highway 169 10 miles north of Milaca started on Tuesday, March 19. Multiple fire service agencies and aircrafts were called in to fight the fire.

An estimated 225-acre wildfire burned across the land approximately 10 miles north of Milaca on Tuesday, March 19.

According to the Fire, Weather and Avalanche Center, the fire started around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in the area of 230th Street just east of Highway 169. Officials have not confirmed the source or when the fire was contained or extinguished.
