Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve fielded many questions about the eclipse that passed over a large chunk of North America. Friends wondered, “just what is it like?” It has been difficult to describe.

We were four of the several million people who traversed the continent, seeking the rare treat of a total eclipse. We – my husband, our two adult sons and me – chose Indiana as the best location within a day’s drive. We leaned on our eclipse expertise, having successfully found a spot in Nebraska to watch the sun disappear during the Aug. 21, 2017, event.
