“This has affected my sleep patterns; I have nightmares. During the day I get visions in my head, or hear or see something and it reminds me of what happened. Physically, I shake and have fears. Mentally, this has affected me and how I view men in my life. I’m scared now of other people. I don’t trust people anymore. I don’t believe them when they say ‘I won’t hurt you,’ or ‘I won’t make you do something you are uncomfortable with.’”

During a 15-minute prerecorded audio statement, the victim, a 28-year-old female, in the Charles Anthony “Tony” Tong sexual assault case, relayed how the case has forever impacted her life during Tong’s sentencing held June 16 before Judge John DeSanto in Isanti County District Court in Cambridge.
