Competing at USTA Jr. Team Tennis Northern Sections at the U of M were (Row 1, l-r): Madi Booth, Tori Marlton, Erika Schmieg, (Row 2) Marshall White, Mike White, Nick Reiners, Sam Renier, and Coach Thea Lowman.
Heading back for Day 2 of the USTA Jr. Team Tennis Northern Section tournament July 27, the Cambridge-Isanti won two matches and finished as the consolation champions in the 18-U Intermediate division.
The Bluejackets qualified for the Gold brackets the prior day with solid tennis in the pool play portion of the Midwest regional tourney. C-I opened Wednesday’s action at the U of M’s Baseline Center with a 37-26 loss to eventual champ Sioux Falls Empire Swagg who will represent the section at the October USTA Nationals tourney in Arizona.
