NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116 that Haubenschild Farm Dairy, Inc. has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Isanti County for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more. The existing feedlot is located the E1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 16 of Wyanett Township, T 36 N, R 25 W of Isanti County, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of total confinement barns with liquid and pack manure storage areas. These barns hold a total of 1,100 dairy cattle over 1000 lbs. (1,540 AU), 300 dairy heifers at 700 lbs. (210 AU), 515 dairy calves at 200 lbs. (103 AU), and 100 beef cattle at 700 lbs. (70 AU). Additionally, the site has 2 feed storage areas, 2 liquid earthen manure storage areas, and an anaerobic digester with stacking slab are part of the existing facility. The total animal unit capacity is currently 1,923.0. The proposed facility consists of 1050 head of dairy cows over 1000 Ibs. (1470 AU) housed in , total confinement barns and composite lined liquid manure storage areas; 625 head of dairy heifers at 700lbs (437.5 AU) housed in total confinement barns and pack manure storage areas; 540 head of dairy calves at 200lbs. (108 AU) housed in total confinement barns and pack manure storage areas. New components consist of an additional composite lined liquid manure storage area with dimensions of 188'x446'xl2' and a total confinement barn with dimensions of 100'x300' including pack manure storage. One earthen liquid manure storage area with dimensions of 100'x11O'xlO' will be eliminated. Total animal units after expansion will be 2015.5.
