Ronda R. Carlson, 47, of Shoreview died January 26, 2010 unexpectedly at Regions Medical Center in St. Paul. Ronda Rae Carlson was born February 11, 1962 in Cambridge, Minn. She was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1980. Ronda lived in Chicago and Dallas for several years before returning to Minnesota and making her home in Shoreview. She worked as an event manager at the Orpheum and State Theatres and most recently worked as a hostess at North Oaks Country Club. She also volunteered at an animal shelter where she found and adopted her friend and companion, Mac. Ronda was a true animal lover and she also loved the theatre, arts, movies and books. She also loved to travel, especially to Mexico, Italy, London and the beaches of Florida. Ronda was a generous person and as a donor gave many people a precious gift. She will be dearly missed. Ronda is survived by her mother, Suzie Carlson of Cambridge; father, Dr. Stephen (Carol) Carlson of Webster, S.D.; brother, Jamie (Pam) Carlson and their children, Jonah and Valerie of Circle Pines; sister, Laura (Scott) Lerner and their children, Kate and Ryan of Montgomery, N.Y.; grandmother, Viola Young of Cambridge; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Ward Young and Raymond and Frances Carlson. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 30, at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Pastor Diane Stores officiating. Pallbearers were Jamie and Pam Carlson, Laura and Scott Lerner, Dr. Stephanie Carlson and Brad Carlson. |
