An 18-year-old Plymouth man has been charged with five felonies for luring five Isanti County girls to send him nude photos of themselves on a cell phone.

Cameron Thomas Peasha was arraigned Nov. 4 before Judge P. Hunter Anderson on felony charges of, in part, using minors in sexual performance/pornographic work and  soliciting a child to engage in sexual conduct-prohibited act.

The girls, all pre-teens, were first asked simply to send him their photos, but he gradually instructed them in the amount of clothing to wear and the positions to depict.

After a short while, the teens were sending him nude photos of themselves, and he sent them a photo of his genitals and numerous provocative text messages.

A text message asking one of the girls to meet Peasha was first discovered by her mother who called the defendant’s cell phone. When she identified herself as the girl’s mother, he hung up and turned off his phone.

The mother then notified the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, which coordinated execution of a search warrant at Peasha’s  Plymouth residence and seizure of his computer and cell phone.

Peasha last week was also arraigned on felony charges of soliciting a child or believed to be a child through Internet or computer to engage in sexual conduct; solicitation-Internet or communication describing sexual conduct with child; and distributing via Internet or computer sexual material that relates/describes sexual conduct with a child.

He is free on his personal recognizance pending a Jan. 6 Omnibus hearing.

C Caufman: What were they thinking?
It astounds me that girls of this age would send such photos to anyone--even have such photos taken! Something is clearly missing in their upbringing-- lessons on self-esteem, modesty, appropriate sexuality.... It's a wake-up call to parents, churches, schools to teach such values.

Obviously those girls knew what they were doing. I don't think it's all his fault. They are just as guilty. Kids these days are learning this crap so early, it's just sad. Parents need to wake up & be more involved in their kids' business.

Why should the teaching of basic core values in a childs life be left to the schools and churchs. This is a problem with the childs own parents there is no reason that a preteen needs a cell phone much less one that takes pics and parents should not have to spy if the kid was brought up right i think as far as the parents they should all take a leson from this...

: Wow
Looking at your child's cell phone is not snooping or spying, it's PARENTING. We are screwed as a society if people think that watching over their children's actions is spying or snooping.

Unknown: Common sense!!
There are plenty of phones out there that parents may supply for their kids that "DO NOT" take pictures!!! Wake up people. There is no reason for "teens" or "pre-teens" to be carrying around such an elaborate phone!! If you feel your child needs a phone as a way of having contact with them or in cases of emergency, then purchase a phone that does "just" that!! They have NO business having phones where they need to be "texting." It is an accident waiting to happen!! I believe the parents should take more precautions!!
I believe in proper teaching and prevention over snooping, and so will your teen. A teen is "NOT" an adult nor capable of making adult decisions!!!
These teens are using a phone as a toy, and not for the purpose intended. Let your kids know if they abuse this privilage...
THEN NO PHONE!!!!! It's quite simple folks!!!

To all of you who are commenting on the parent's of this child and whether or not they are properly raising her, wake up! If you think your perfect little teenage boy or girl isn't doing things like this, you're crazy. Whether they have a cell phone, or not. Their friends have cell phones, digital cameras, access to the internet, etc. This mom did the right thing by keeping tabs on her daughter's activity. Talk to your children about the danger that is out there, don't be naive to the fact that this happens a lot.
