Army veteran Duane Grell passed away April 8, 2013. In memory of Grell’s service in WWII as a paratrooper, his family donated $400 to the Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon. Grell’s daughter, Sue Hupfer, presented the check to Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Chairman, Bob Boone, on April 29. Boone noted that the Grell family donation will be used to support service members and their families by the Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon.

Blue Star Moms Pine City Chapter #16 had a Garage Sale in Braham during the city-wide sale held April 27. All proceeds from the sale are being used to send care packages to men and women serving our country and protecting our freedoms. James and Hayden, along with mom Patti, checked out the sale and returned a short time later with their lemonade money. (Mom said they have a lemonade stand every year and then choose to donate the funds). What a great way to pay it forward. Blue Star Moms would like to say thank you to this family for their support.

The city of Cambridge and its wastewater treatment facility staff receive a certificate of commendation during the May 6 council meeting from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency recognizing its exemplary effort expended in the year 2012 to comply the MPCA’s Permit Program. Cambridge wastewater treatment facility staff honored

Cambridge receives outstanding finance award

Therapy Associates in Isanti held a groundbreaking ceremony May 6 for their new 4,700 square foot building to be built just behind Community Pride Bank.
