Long Lake Spaghetti Dinner
Friday, Oct. 6: All are invited to a Spaghetti Dinner from 4-7 p.m. at Long Lake Lutheran Church, 3921 277th Ave. NW, Isanti (Highway 47 and 277th Avenue). All You Can Eat Spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, beverage and dessert. Adults tickets, $6; 6-12 years, $3. Under 6 are free.
Friday, Oct. 6: Any-aged girl is welcome to take the arm of her favorite adult male escort and dance the night away at the first Princess Prom. 10th Annual Box City
Saturday, Oct. 7: New Pathways is hosting its 10th annual Box City Homeless Challenge at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge. Everyone is welcome to participate, anyone under the age of 18 will need an adult chaperon. Participants are asked to raise $75 each to spend the night homeless. Peace Walk in Cambridge
Saturday, Oct. 7: The bi-monthly peace walk in Cambridge will take place at 9 a.m. The group meets in the parking lot at Highway 95 and Birch Street, and the walk takes about half-hour. They try to keep their messages positive, supporting equal rights and justice for all, protection of our environment, and an end to violence. Anyone is welcome. They walk on the first and third Saturdays every month, so they will also meet on Oct. 21.
Bluejacket 5K/1 Mile
Saturday Oct. 7: Isanti Intermediate School/School For All Seasons, located at 101 Ninth Ave. NE., Isanti, is hosting a 5K and 1 Mile run beginning at 9 a.m. Cost for the 5K is $20, 1 Mile is $10 and family max of $45.
Free Community Shredding Event
Saturday, Oct. 7: Century 21 Moline Realty will host a free community shredding event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 202 Main St. S., Cambridge. Cider and cookies will be served while you wait, and the first 50 people to bring a non-perishable food item for the food shelf will receive a free pumpkin.
