Virginia Piper Cancer Institute – Cambridge Medical Center is proud to announce that Arvind Vemula, MBBS, a board-certified oncologist, has joined its staff.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Arvind Vemula join our Cambridge Medical Center family,” said Cambridge Medical Center president Gary Shaw. “His experience and expertise will be the foundation of our oncology program, allowing patients to continue receiving care close to home.”
Vemula has 16 years of medical experience. For the past seven years he has treated patients with cancer at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. He was previously at North Iowa Mercy Medical Center, where he was chair of the Internal Medicine Department. He is board-certified in cancer (medical oncology), hematology and internal medicine.
“Along with the rest the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute – Cambridge Medical Center oncology team – Laurie Bolen, RN, cancer care coordinator; Jocey Wiedewitsch, social worker; and our team of oncology and infusion RNs and LPNs – Dr. Vemula has already begun to establish a connection with his patients,” Shaw said. “We are honored that he chose Cambridge Medical Center.”
