Natalie Nelson to represent Cambridge at Aquatennial

Dear Editor:
July is here, and that means the Minneapolis Aquatennial is right around the corner. With that comes a very special opportunity for young women across the state, as local ambassadors are invited to head to Minneapolis to participate in five days filled with activities, personal growth and opportunities to make connections during the Aquatennial celebration.
The Cambridge Ambassador Program is proud to have 2016 Ambassador Natalie Nelson representing the community at the 2017 Minneapolis Aquatennial next week, July 18-22.
Spending a week participating in the Aquatennial Ambassador Scholarship Program is an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a select few young women each summer. We are thrilled to have such a sweet and personable young woman representing Cambridge at the “Best Days of Summer.”
As one of 54 candidates, Natalie will enjoy a myriad of amazing activities such as Sparkle Night with the Twins, dinner at Fogo de Chao prior to the Torchlight Parade, a day of yachting with the Power Boat Squadron on Lake Minnetonka, leadership seminars and special events set up by Aquatennial alumni groups. There will be daily interviews with the judges, culminating with the Ambassador Coronation on Saturday, July 22.
Come join the fun yourself on Wednesday, July 19 at the always-breathtaking Torchlight Parade along Hennepin Avenue. Cheer on Natalie and the other candidates, along with the city of Cambridge Snowflake float featuring both the 2016 and 2017 Ambassadors.
Well-wishes may be sent to “Natalie Nelson, Cambridge” at the Millennium Hotel, 1313 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403 beginning July 18.
