Cambridge man earns self advocacy award

Nathan Miller from Cambridge received the Irving Martin Award at the 2017 Minnesota Self Advocacy Conference. Nathan shows excellent leadership skills. He participated in the first Olmstead Acadamy training where he was able to help teach other people with disabilities about community inclusion. Nathan understands barriers for people with disabilities but he did not give up on his dreams.

Nathan is now employed outside of a shelter workshop and owns his own home. He is a great example to not giving up. Maggie Treichel nominated Nathan Miller for this award. Nathan you deserve it, keep working hard for social change.
