The spring activities of Braham have recently concluded. The baseball team finished with a record of 11-7 while finishing in third-place in the Great River Conference with a 10-4 conference record.

The softball team finished with a record of 16-8 while finishing in second-place in the Great River Conference with a 9-3 conference record. The softball team also advanced to the section semifinals before getting knocked out of the playoffs.

The boys and girls track and field teams competed with much success. Advancing to sections were Eric Eskuri in shot and discus, Brandon Wyganowski in the mile, Jayden Prill in pole vault and triple jump, Calvin Engberg in 800, Devin Shellito in shot, Hannah Cornelius in 100, 200, 400 and long jump. Also, Brandon Wyganowski broke his own school record in the mile by 0.27 of a second. A big congratulations to Hannah Cornelius who advanced to state in the 400M where she finished in fifth-place overall.

The girls golf team earned the Section 7A runner up. Also a big congratulations go out to Braham State Tournament golf competitors Emma Downing, Alex Kurvers and Hunter Richmond. Emma Downing tied for 48th out of 84 with a 196 two day score; Alex Kurvers tied for 13th out of 88 with a 163 two day score; and Hunter Richmond tied for 50th out of 88 with a 176 two day score. Great job.

We have been very busy at the high school this month with many activities and camps. We have our summer speed and strength training program going every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. We have also hosted the youth boys and girls basketball camp, youth football camp, t-ball, youth baseball leagues, youth softball leagues, youth volleyball camp, a youth theater camp as well as the annual Noah Dahlman basketball camp. These are just some of the many opportunities our kids of Braham have had this summer.
