An Isanti woman has died following a single car crash on June 22 on Highway 65 that left two others injured.
According to the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, on June 22, around 8 p.m., Jessica Rae-Anne Mortvedt, 26, of Isanti, was traveling on Highway 65 near Isanti Ready Mix, near Palomino Road, when her vehicle veered off into the left side ditch and Mortvedt over-corrected causing the Chevrolet Trailblazer to crash and roll into the right side ditch.
Part of the highway was shut down while emergency crews landed a helicopter to transport Mortvedt to the Hennepin County Medical Center. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Mortvedt died on June 23 due to multiple blunt force injuries sustained during the crash.
There were two juveniles in the car who were transported to Cambridge Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.
The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, Isanti Fire District, Isanti County Safety and Rescue, Minnesota State Patrol, Allina Ambulance and Life Link all responded to the scene. The incident is being investigated by the Minnesota State Patrol.
