The Cambridge-Isanti girls track team had plenty to be proud of on May 24 as they took home fourth-place at the Mississippi 8 Conference meet in Chisago Lakes.

The girls had several top performances, including; Abberly Smith in the 800m (third); Brooklyn Terwilliger in the 300m hurdles (third); the 4×200 relay team (fourth); Char Morke in the pole vault (fourth); and Kelese Patton in the discus (second).

Next up for the girls will be a trip to the Section 7AA meet in Andover. The meet will take place over two days, May 31 and June 3.

The girls will be relying on their field events, and strong relay teams to carry them toward a section title. All four relay teams have been top finishers throughout the season, while Morke and Patton will hope to lead the field events.
