Rotary Club of Cambridge and Isanti ‘Taste’ a success

Dear Editor:

On Thursday March 23, 22 food and beverage vendors along with hundreds of “taste testers” filled the Spirit River Community Center in Isanti to partake in the Rotary Club of Cambridge and Isanti “Taste” fundraiser.

Participants loved the huge community dinner, evident in comments such as, “I come every year! Where else can you get so much great food and drink for $20, see many friends, and all for a good cause!”

Newcomers to the event remarked repeatedly, “I can’t believe I’ve never attended. This is great, and I am definitely coming back next year!”
This year’s fundraising efforts go toward assisting the city of Cambridge in local park improvements, Habitat for Humanity, dictionaries for third-graders, international student exchange, and eradicating polio worldwide.

Rotary is not alone in making the “Taste” a success, as it depends on the great generosity of businesses that provide food and beverages. We want to extend a special “thank you” to the vendors and businesses who added to the fun by providing great food, door prizes, and energy.

The “Taste” mixes a night of socializing with splendid food, drinks, and desserts, all at one venue. We invite you to patronize the businesses that supported this fundraising event. Please plan on attending next year with friends and family. Thank you for your support of the Rotary Club of Cambridge and Isanti, where we desire to live out the Rotary International motto, “Service Above Self.” We love our communities and together make them better.
