Thanks for the memories

Our fundraiser, “Act III: The Lawrence Welk Show,” was held on March 17 and March 18 in the City Center Mall in Cambridge. And, we are thrilled to report that it was a huge success. One hundred forty tickets were sold for the two shows and it sure looked like everyone was having a “wunnerful, wunnerful time!”

The music and entertainment was phenomenal. There was everything from the “My Wild Irish Rose” sing-a-long to a “What’s Up Doc?” skit. Everyone seemed to enjoy the delicious appetizer, meal and dessert that was served during intermission.

As you all know, it takes numerous dedicated people to put on such a production. We have so many people to thank for our successful fundraiser. We will begin with the Planning Committee. Thank-you to Pat Christofferson, Bruce Danielson, Dolly Fairchild, Della Theis and Cher Wedl for planning such a fun event. Our cast members and entertainment deserve a big thank-you, which includes the Grad Band directed by Lynn Wedlund, Rufus Harrigan, Pat Stenmo, Barb and Eben Gillespie, Howie Lewis, Sue Hupfer, Mona Nastrom, Connie Skillingstad, Jenni Thyng, Joe Simcoe, Lynette Guderian, Neil Johnson, Donn Fredlund, Lowell Becker, Monte Dybvig, Nicolle Ulrich and Kenny Krona.

Thanks to SAC’s volunteers and cooks and all of the other volunteers who helped out during the two shows. This includes Sandy Yerigan, Judy Pelshaw, Linda Larson, Lewis Leasure, Bobbi Klatt, Eddie Klatt, Linda Neal, Amanda Norling, Reid Larson, Mary Yocum, Amber Fairchild, Russ Wedl, Wayne Yerigan, Joe Stitz, Jodi Meyer, Jenni Meyer, Dorothy Seims, Cody Buzzell, Karen Nieken, Carol and Dennis Robinson and Amber Hogan. You all played a big part in this event and we couldn’t have done it without you.
