Scout and Morgan Books in Cambridge held a Peace Pole dedication ceremony on April 1.
Peace Poles are internationally recognized symbols of peace, with tens of thousands of monuments on display in 180 countries around the world.
Owner Judith Kissner selected the languages Anishinabe, Hmong, and Spanish along with a Braille plate to accompany the English message of May Peace Prevail on Earth.
Participants in the bi-monthly peace walk and other community members were on hand to celebrate what is thought to be the first Peace Pole in Isanti County.
The Peace Pole will remain in the gardens in front of the bookstore for all to enjoy. For more information visit peaceploeproject.org.
