The Cambridge Public Library has partnered again with Isanti County Family Services to get books into the hands of children and teens in need this Christmas season.
Ages and genders of those youths are put on the Give the Gift of Reading tree in the library. Everyone is encouraged to pick a tag off the tree, select an age-appropriate book for the child or teen, and return it unwrapped to the Cambridge Public Library no later than 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15.
If you need help finding a book, library staff can assist you with picking a title. Or simply make a donation by giving cash or dropping off a check made out to ECRL at the Cambridge Public Library circulation desk. Library staff will use the money to choose a book for you.
Once all of the books are received, they are wrapped and given to Isanti Family Services in time to be delivered by Christmas.
Your help will ensure each child or teen receives the precious gift of reading this Christmas. Let’s spread the Christmas spirit with books this holiday season.
