City Center Market in Cambridge is celebrating this summer’s local harvest with their fourth annual Tent Sale on Friday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Tent Sale features locally grown and produced foods. There will be music, local vendors sampling their foods, chair massages, discounts and giveaways. Windland Flats of Princeton will be serving brats and hotdogs along with City Center’s deli serving salad and drinks. In addition, the Cambridge Public Library will host a booth to answer questions about the new library building and funding.
People will have the opportunity to sample food and ask questions of the farmers. The Tent Sale will be located in the City Center Market’s parking lot at 122 N. Buchanan St., Cambridge (the corner of Buchanan and Highway 95).

Why eat local? It’s good for you and tastes better—it doesn’t travel as far and is fresher. It’s good for the economy—the money you spend on local food stays right here in our community. It’s good for the environment—you reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, carbon dioxide emission and wasteful packing materials. And it’s good for family farms—you ensure more of your money spent goes to a local farmer.
