Braham and Rush City bands put on extravaganza

During the second annual Big Band Extravaganza, jazz bands from Rush City High School and Braham Area High School put on a show April 23 at the Braham Event Center.

Each band preformed for nearly an hour, playing some of their favorite pieces they have learned throughout the year.

All were encouraged to get up and dance along with the music. Unlike your traditional concert, the crowd did not applaud the bands in between songs, instead they clapped along with the music showing their support as the bands played them off into the night.

Following along with every note, this Braham saxophone player stays on the beat.

This trombone player enjoys the concert. The trumpet section works hard to put on a good show. Keeping everybody in rhythm, the drums just can’t stop.
