Cambridge will begin its future with a free community dinner at the First Baptist Church with the Minnesota Design Team.
The team of about 24 professional engineers, architect, urban and city planners will sit down with community members Friday evening April 1 at First Baptist Church.
The deadline to participate is Monday, March 21. RSVP’s can be made by calling Cambridge City Hall at 763-689-3211 by 4:30 p.m. Space is limited.
At the dinner, community members will have the opportunity to let the team members know what is important here in Cambridge.
It will help the MN Design Team prioritize what items they should focus on for a presentation to the Community on Saturday, April 2, highlighting ways they believe Cambridge can improve over the next several years.
The MN Design Team will present their results in a visual format with at least 20 idea boards, made just for Cambridge at 7:30 p.m., at the Hardy Performing Arts Center at Cambridge-Isanti High School. No ticket is needed.
Friday morning, the MN Design Team will be receiving community presentations from various organizations, having lunch with different Cambridge business owners and residents, and getting a driving and walking tour of Cambridge.
City officials are encouraging residents to take advantage of the opportunity to share their vision for neighborhoods, housing, recreation, education, and businesses and improving Cambridge’s image.
The MN Design Team will focus on what they hear and develop plans and ideas for five to 10 years that will be incorporated into the comprehensive plan.
