Having put himself through the University of Minnesota as a UPS worker, Congressman Rick Nolan said he was especially proud to present safety and public service awards to several of the 85 UPS employees at the company’s Isanti facility as part of the Founders Day celebration. UPS turned 108-years-old last Friday.
Praising local job growth and pronouncing Isanti, “A simply wonderful community in which to live, work and do business,” Congressman Rick Nolan spent Wednesday, Aug. 26 meeting with local officials, touring manufacturing companies, speaking with workers, having lunch with area seniors and visiting the top-rated BMX track at the Isanti Indoor Arena.
“I can’t say enough about the remarkable progress Mayor George Wimmer and our city officials, local businesses, community organizations and citizens have made in growing the local economy here in Isanti by creating so many good new jobs and new opportunities. Everything that’s been done here is really so impressive,” Nolan said.
