Due to busy summer schedules, Spirit River Community will not be hosting the community dinners on the second and fourth Wednesdays for the month of July. They will have a community dinner on the second Wednesday of August.
Braham Outreach Site Storytime
Mondays: All are welcome to join for fun stories and more at the Braham Outreach Site at the Braham Community Center on Mondays in July at 3 p.m. Ages preschool thru grade 2 are welcome to attend. Siblings also welcome.
Isanti Family Farmers Market
Fridays: The Isanti Family Farmers Market will be held every Friday through Sept. 25 at 18 Broadway St. SW. in Isanti (Eagle Park) from 2:30-6:30 p.m. More info at isantifamilyfarmersmarket.org.
Cambridge Farmers Market
Saturdays: The Cambridge Farmers Market will be held every Saturday through Oct. 31 at the City Center Market parking lot in Cambridge from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Free Presentation on Raspberry Plants
Thursday, July 9: A free presentation will be held at 7 p.m. at the Isanti County Government Center in Cambridge, lower level, on “The Care and Cultivation of Raspberry Plants.” This is a free to the public presentation, although reservations are required by calling 763-689-1810.
Lake Francis Improvement Meeting
Saturday, July 11: The Lake Francis Improvement Association will meet at 10 a.m. at the Bradford Township Hall. Call Linda at 763-444-5143 with any questions.
Parkinson’s Support Group
Wednesday, July 15: Parkinson’s Support Group will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. at GracePointe Crossing, Common Building, 1545 River Hills Pkwy., Cambridge. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, their families, friends and caregivers are invited to attend. Come and enjoy the fellowship, light refreshments, share interests, concerns and more with others who are living with Parkinson’s.
‘The Great American Songbook’
Wednesday, July 15: East Central Regional Library presents “The Great American Songbook; Tin Pan Alley to Hollywood a History.” The performance at 1:30 p.m. is free and will feature musicians Brian and Sheralyn Barnes. This project was funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Event location is SAC’s Enrichment Center, in Cambridge City Center Mall, next to the police department.
Paint ‘n Pinot
Thursday, July 16: Paint ‘n Pinot evening of fun from 6:30-9:30 p.m. is back for July. Bring your own bottle of wine or favorite beverage. They add snacks and all the painting supplies. You learn step by step how to complete a beautiful painting that you will take home that evening. No experience necessary. Sign up early. This fills up fast. Registration in advance is mandatory. Isanti County Talent Show
Sunday, July 26: It is not too early to prepare for the Isanti County Talent Show to be held 3 p.m. at the Bandshell on the Isanti County Fairgrounds. Winners in each of the pre-teen, teen, and open divisions will receive a trip to the State Fair talent show as well as cash prizes and plaques. Details are available at www.isanticountyfair.com. Cathedrals and Gangsters Tour
Tuesday, Sept. 15: Sac’s Enrichment Center invites the public to join them for a tour to the St. Paul Cathedral and 1930s Gangster Tour of St. Paul, as organized by volunteer host Sandie Ordahl. Lunch will be a buffet lunch at the St. Paul Hotel. They will also have a surprise stop on Grand Avenue. Cost is $89 per person and sign up by calling 763-689-6555.
