A group of teenagers from around Isanti County is gaining experience in career opportunities, life skills, service learning, character education and leadership through a law enforcement program supported by the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Doug Barron, who participated in the program as a high schooler in Coon Rapids, introduced five young men from the program, ages 17 and 18, to county commissioners at the Dec. 17 County Board meeting. Joining him were deputies Chad Meyer and Brandon Oliver, who also went through the program as a high school student in Plymouth.
