Many made grand opening of Braham Area Community Center a success

Dear Editor:

The Braham Area Community Event Center Task Force wants to give a special “Thank You” to everyone who attended our Grand Opening Aug. 2. We are so honored to have so many people came to celebrate our accomplishment of “building our dream.” Words can’t express how touched we are for all of you joining in our celebration.

We want to give a special thanks to Pastor Chronis, Dan Frank, Steve Shurts, Greg Winter, Greg Korstad, Jana King for the wonderful message regarding a community coming together supporting this building project and Martha Bush, Harpist for the beautiful music.

We especially want to thank all the volunteers at Tusen Tack and BACEC for all the hours given working toward this building project. We want to especially recognize Lucy Nelson and Mae Nordeen (posthumous) for having a dream to start a thrift store, Tusen Tack in Braham. Look what came out of that dream.

Thank you to Walmart of Pine City and Cambridge and Cub Foods of Cambridge for food donations, and Herman’s Bakery of Cambridge and Coborn’s of Mora for the beautiful cakes.

Thank you to everyone who sent flowers and gave monetary donations. Special thanks to everyone who helped serve, decorate the Center, Jay Manke and Grass Fire band for providing the sound system, and everyone who helped in any way to make our Grand Opening such a special day. We could go on and on naming individuals who have helped with building the Braham Area Community Event Center but it would become a book. Please come and see the building if you didn’t make it to the Grand Opening and plan your next event here.
