A Milaca man was killed Friday after he veered into the wrong lane on Highway 47, at the intersection of Highway 95, west of Cambridge.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Herman J. Bakke, 75, of Milaca, was heading southbound on Highway 47 driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am when he veered into the northbound lane and collided with a semitruck driven by Ryan N. Hoffman, 32, of Avon.

The accident was reported at 11:57 a.m. Hoffman, driving a 12-ton 2006 International 4000 Convcab, had no apparent injuries.

The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
