The Cambridge Farmers Market takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays in the City Center Mall parking lot. The Isanti Farmers Market takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays at Riverside Market in Isanti.
Cambridge-Isanti Teen Center Meeting

Lake Francis Improvement Association Picnic
Saturday, Aug. 16: Lake Francis Improvement Association will hold its annul Potluck Picnic from 1-3 p.m. at the swimming beach. Bring a dish to share. Hot dogs, paper products and drinks will be supplied by the association. Prizes will be given away throughout the day, with the grand prize at 3 p.m. Must be present to win all prizes.
Annual Veterans Picnic
Saturday, Aug. 16: The annual Veterans Picnic will be held from 3 p.m. until dark at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge. All veterans and their families are invited to this free event. Pulled pork, pulled turkey, table service and beverages provided. Bring a dish to pass and a lawn chair for your comfort. Hosted by East Central Minnesota Chapter 684.
OktoberFest at St. John’s Lutheran of Bradford
Saturday, Aug. 16: All are invited to the 7th-annual OktoberFest fundraiser for Historic St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bradford. An authentic Bavarian (German) style buffet dinner will be served from 3-6 p.m. Kris and the Riverbend Dutchmen will entertain from 3-6:30 p.m. Tickets are $17 per person and can be reserved by calling 763-444-9320. The church is located at 900 Co. Rd. 5 NW, 2.5 miles west of Isanti. Proceeds from the event are used to restore-maintain the church and adjacent grounds.
Pancake Breakfast to benefit Pregnancy Center
Sunday, Aug. 17: The Cambridge Lions will host a Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Christ the King Parish Hall (315 Fern St. N., Cambridge) to benefit the Pregnancy Resource Center of Cambridge. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for kids ages 3-11. A variety of silent auction items will be available for bid as well. The PRC of Cambridge is a life-affirming organization that offers limited medical services and educational programs surrounding the topics of unplanned pregnancy and reproductive health.
Car Show & BBQ at SpringVale Baptist
Sunday, Aug. 17: All are welcome to enjoy a Classic Car Show and Potluck/BBQ at SpringVale Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Weather permitting, they will have an outdoor service at 10:30 a.m. with Bluegrass music from Jan Sundvall and Charlie Nordlund. There will also be a craft and bake sale. All proceeds go toward a new garage for the parsonage.

Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution
Tuesday, Aug. 19: The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution will be held at the Isanti County Fairgrounds. Registration and food distribution will be from 3-5:30 p.m. There will not be any preregistration. Do not arrive before 1 p.m. and there is no parking on the Fairgrounds prior to 1 p.m. Food will be distributed to one person only per address.
