Braham celebrates Pie Day

Braham Ambassadors Bethany Johnson (left) and Grace Zierden hand out slices of pie and ice cream during Braham Pie Day Friday, Aug. 1. Braham Pie Day founder Phyllis Londgren was honored this year at the 25th annual Pie Day event with a stuffed chicken pot pie plush toy presented to her by Braham Mayor Tish Carlson. Luca Nettleton (left), 6, and Beckham Nettleton, 9, came all the way from Aspen, Colorado to get a taste of apple pie during Braham Pie Day. Reece Almendinger (right) was presented an award by Braham Mayor Tish Carlson for walking from Scandia to Braham for Pie Day. Cambridge Ambassadors Shelby Swanson, Kasey Bruss and Kaitlyn Martens display delicious pies. Marian Fredlund Dobe is an expert quilter. She displayed some of her pieces, and quilted wardrobe, during the quilt show. Ella DeRushia, 17 months, waits expectantly for her dad to give her some ice cream.
