Murder Mystery Show on tour to Wintergreens in Isanti

Creative Ink Theatre is excited to announce a comedy, murder mystery play; ‘Murder at Mickey’s’ touring to our area in August of 2014.

‘Murder at Mickey’s,’ is a new mystery play, written by Roger Gerdin formerly of Milaca, now if Isanti. This is the ninth murder mystery written by Gerdin in his series of environmental, audience evolving ‘murder mysteries.’ They are designed to take place in bar / restaurants, where the facility becomes the set and the characters all portray restaurant staff, police, patrons etc.

The unsung star of the mystery is a mechanical bull. This murder mystery begins after the horrific death of Deputy Clay Schmidt. The audience members have all been subpoenaed to return to the restaurant ten days latter, for a ‘crime scene re-enactment’. As with Gerdin’s other mysteries the audience becomes involved by reading twelve clues which deliver valuable information and help to move the intriguing plot along to its conclusion. Unique to this production, several audience members are also asked to get out of their seats and help re-enact the murder. ‘Murder at Mickey’s,’ although serious in nature, is a fun, crazy, comedy with it’s many plot twist and turns, keeping the audience members guessing; trying to sort out this hilarious Who Dun it.’ This production features a professional cast of four characters, along with several others who are ‘Skyped’ in on a big screen television. The cast includes: Cody Logeland, formerly of Princeton, Anthony Michaels of Minneapolis, Mary Billmark of Milaca and Roger Gerdin of Isanti.
