Driver airlifted to hospital following Sunday crash on Highway 65

A 40-year-old woman from Isanti was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis with non-life threatening injuries following a broadside crash Sunday, July 20, at 10:24 a.m. near Isanti County Equipment in Isanti.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Tamara L. Holton was driving a 2005 Jeep Wagon heading eastbound on Cajima Street when she pulled out in front of a 2009 Honda Fit heading southbound on Highway 65.

The driver of the Honda Fit, Mingyu Xiao, 40, of Eden Prairie, and her two children, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital.

According to a media relations specialist at Hennepin County Medical Center, Holton was listed in satisfactory condition Monday morning.

Both vehicles were a total loss, and towed by Leaf’s Towing.

Assisting the State Patrol at the scene were the Cambridge Police Department and the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office.
