Gospel Meetings are now being held in Isanti on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. July 25 and Aug. 1 at the Isanti Community Center, located at 208 ½ First Ave. NW, Isanti. Wednesday, July 16: Spirit River Community will host a Prayer Gathering at 1:30 p.m. at Rendezvous Coffee Shop in Isanti.

Storytime at Braham Community Center

Wednesday, July 16: Storytime for ages preK-4th grade, located in the library room of the Braham Area Community Center, will be held from 3:30-4 p.m. Bring your kids to this fun interactive reading of stories with a wide variety of interests. Also at that time, 5th and 6th-graders can enjoy having their favorite books presented in a new and entertaining way.

Turkey and Potato Sausage Fundraising Feast

Southern Gospel Concert

Sunday, July 20: All are invited to a Southern Gospel Concert at 6 p.m. at North Isanti Baptist Church, 2248 313th Ave. NE, Cambridge. The church is hosting the southern gospel group “Declaration” from Nashville. A free-will offering will be taken to help with the group’s travel expenses.

Monday, July 21: Braham School District #314 will hold its regular School Board Meeting at 7 p.m. in the BAHS Community Room. Agenda Items to include: Consider Resource Training and Solutions membership renewal for 2014-2015; Consider 2015 Health and Safety Program Revenue Application; Consider Indoor Air Quality Management Plan; Consider District Policies; Consider Administrative Program; Board Member Reports; Personnel.

Sons of Norway Meeting

Tuesday, July 22: Rumelva Lodge, Sons of Norway in Cambridge, will meet at 7 p.m. at the Cambridge City Center Mall (the new SAC’s) which is 2 blocks north of Highway 95 on Main Street, then right one block. First you’ll view a DVD of a Norwegian wedding held at the Replica Hopperstad Stave Church in Moorhead. Next you’ll learn how passion and resilience aided Robert Asp in building the Hjemkomst Viking ship replica in Hawley. Sons of Norway is an organization that promotes and preserves the heritage and culture of Norway, and celebrates our relationship with other Nordic countries. Cambridge Senior Dance

Wednesday, July 23: The Cambridge Senior Dance will be held at American Jane’s Grill & Bar from 1-4 p.m. with the Barefoot Becky Band of Mt Vernon, Iowa. Cost is $8. See you at the dance.

All-Comers Track Meet at CIHS

Thursday, July 24: An All-Comers Track Meet will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Cambridge-Isanti High School track. Events will include: high jump, long jump, sprints, hurdles, prediction mile. It’s free of charge and for all ages.

Paint and Pinot

Thursday, July 24: Cambridge Center for the Arts is hosting the next “Paint and Pinot” class from 6:30-9 p.m. Local artist MaryAnn Cleary will guide attendees through the painting process of a Split Rock Lighthouse scene. All painting supplies and canvas are included in the cost. Bring your favorite wine beverage and enjoy an evening of painting fun in a non-intimidating and social environment. Beginning and advanced students welcome. Appetizers served. Cost: $35, $30 for CCFA members, limited to 10 pre-paid students. Farm to Table Cooking Class at a True Amish Farm 

Saturday, July 26: City Center Market is collaborating with RealFood CSA, an Amish farm in Mora, to offer an outdoor cooking class using the freshest possible ingredients from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will help pick, clean, and cook or grill the foods for the menu – it doesn’t get any fresher.
