George (GT) Thomas Hanna, 84, of Cambridge died peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West.
He was born on July 2, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Samuel and Nina (Hall) Hanna.
George retired from the military. He served during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy and also in the Air National Guard. He was Honorably Discharged as a Lieutenant Commander.
George was preceded in death by his parents, brother Samuel and granddaughter Laura.
He is survived by his wife Carleen of Cambridge; sons Tom and wife Debbie Hanna of Maple Grove, James Hanna of Morris; daughters Susan Dollarhide of Farmington, Patricia Walsh of Princeton; stepchildren Shannon and wife Lynn ONeil of Spring Lake Park, Kristin and husband Dan Otto of Wyoming, MN; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial service 11 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Ft. Snelling Memorial Chapel with visitation one hour prior. Interment in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
