Rotary Club says farewell to foreign exchange student

The Rotary Club of Cambridge & Isanti said farewell to Nadia Jorgensen this month.

Nadia has been this past year’s foreign exchange student sponsored by the local Rotary. Nadia enjoyed her senior year of high school at Cambridge-Isanti High School and will return to her home country of Denmark in early July. Nadia presented the Club with a banner from the Maribo Denmark Rotary Club to Club President Charles Rick and a Cambridge-Isanti banner was given to Nadia to present to her home club on her return to Denmark.

The Cambridge & Isanti Club would like to thank Nadia’s host family, Tom, Michelle, and Emma Schoenecker for their amazing hospitality this past year. They gave Nadia a wonderful home and provided her with many American experiences. Host families like the Schoeneckers make these student exchanges possible. If you are interested in hosting a student this next school year please contact the Rotary.

The Rotary Club of Cambridge & Isanti is a part of Rotary International. Its members form a global network of business, professional, and community leaders who volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities and the world by putting Service Above Self.

They meet for lunch each Thursday at 11:45 a.m. at Wintergreens restaurant in Isanti. Guests are welcome.
