Tyler Treichel announces candidacy for Isanti County Auditor-Treasurer
I am announcing my candidacy for Isanti County Auditor-Treasurer. Since 2007 I have worked as the Risk Manager for Stearns County working closely with the auditor’s office on payroll issues, insurance coverage, workers compensation, and maintaining accountability for over $104 million in buildings and their contents. I work in collaboration with all departments on ways to save and reduce costs to their budgets. I know the taxpayers expect fiscal and financial accountability and that is what I strive to deliver.
With over 20 years of public service I have the technical expertise to handle the demands of this office. I serve on the Board of Directors for Minnesota Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA); facilitate meetings for the Risk Managers Group of the Metropolitan Inter-County Association (MICA), and I’m a member of the American Legion and Helios Lodge. I served 6.5 years in the Army and have been active in the community coaching local youth sports, and teaching confirmation at Cambridge Lutheran Church.
After serving during Desert Storm, and finishing my carrier in the Army, my wife Jana and I moved back to Isanti County where we raised our children (Savanna and Clinton). I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Bethel University and currently a student at Hamline University pursuing my Masters in Public Administration.
The Auditor-Treasurer’s office has many responsibilities that include not only accounting, budget, payroll and accounts payable for the county, it also calculates and collects property taxes, issue licenses and passports, and runs elections in coordination with city managers, township officials, and election judges. The citizens of Isanti County deserve to have someone who can manage all functions of this diverse office. I ask for your vote and I hope to be serving you the next four years.
