Heavenly Sunshine offers ‘Fun in the Sun’

Isanti County Self-Advocacy Beach Dance
Friday, June 20: The Isanti County Self-Advocacy Beach Theme Dance will be held at Common Ground Methodist Church, 404 N. Cypress St., Cambridge. Hot dogs, chips and fruit will be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with the dance from 6:30-8:30 p.m. $5 admission for self-advocates; $3 for staff.

Sons of Norway Meeting in Cambridge
Tuesday, June 24: Rumelva Lodge, Sons of Norway in Cambridge, will meet at 7 p.m. at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in the picnic area just southeast of the Historical Society’s Heritage Center Building. In the event of rain we will be in the Historical Society Building. The meeting this month will be its annual potluck picnic and ice cream social. Sons of Norway is an organization that promotes and preserves the heritage and culture of Norway, and celebrates our relationship with other Nordic countries. Exhibition features work of Marilyn Taus
Friday, June 27: The Cambridge Center for the Arts is hosting an art exhibition featuring the paintings of the late Marilyn Taus, who taught at ARCC, and had a successful career as a painter, sculptor, ceramist and other media. Also in the show are works from the Visual Women, Taus’ mentoring group. The Artists’ Reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the Gallery, 140 Buchanan St. Suite 178.
