May 29 and May 30: A large outdoor garage sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30, at GracePointe Crossing Gables West, 135 Fern St. N. Cambridge – south parking lot on Highway 95 and Fern Street. Framed pictures, art work, dressers, tables, couches, chairs, bedding, and lots of misc. items are expected to be available at the sale. Healing Together Through Communication and Art
Friday, May 30: Healing Together Through Communication and Art will be held at Cambridge Medical Center Foundation Room, 701 S. Dellwood St., Cambridge. It will be hosted by ‘Wellness in the Woods.’ This event is being funded by the Region 7E Adult Mental Health Initiative to assist in the healing process for persons impacted by the closure of the Riverwood Mental Health Center. Schedule is as follows: 9:30-10 a.m. registration and snacks; 10-11 a.m. Healing Circles; 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Arts for Healing; 12:30-1 p.m. Lunch and Networking; 1-2 p.m. Loss and the Grieving Process; and 2-2:30 p.m. Next Steps and Moving On. ‘Princess Party’ Coming Soon
Friday, June 6: The Cambridge Ambassadors and Ambassador candidates are hosting their annual ‘Princess Party’ from 6-8:15 p.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve and Community Center in Cambridge. There will be lots of royal fun with real princesses. Activities are geared for ages 4-8, but any aged little princess is welcome to join. Save $5 if you register by May 28. Take a Kid Fishing
Saturday, June 7: Take a Kid Fishing will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Vegsund Family County Park, 39961 Polk St. NE, Stanchfield. No fishing gear? No problem. Fishing equipment available for you to use. Fishing licenses are not needed that weekend. It is the Minnesota DNR’s designated “take a kid fishing weekend.” Don’t know how to fish? No problem. Knowledgeable people on site to help instruct on the how to’s. Adults 16 and over do not need a license when fishing with a child. Popcorn for Jesus will be joining us too. Bring your family for a free, fun day of fishing.
