Bomber Boys Track wins at Rush City

Braham track & field had decent weather to compete in the May 2 Rush City Invite where the Bomber boys placed 1st and the girls were 4th. The GRC track finals are next on May 13 at Onamia.

Logan Leavey swept the distance races at RC, taking the 1600 in 4:48.9 and the 3200 in 10:56.0. Zach Dahlman won both the discus (119-02) and the triple jump (34-08), adding a 2nd in the 300 hurdles (45.2). Elijah Overton won the long jump (18-10) and was 2nd in the high jump (5-03). Nick Jones added the final 1st for the Bomber boys with a 54.6 time in the 400.

Thomas Warner contributed 2nd place points with his 4:59 run in the 1600. The Bombers’ 4×800 and 4×400 relays also placed 2nd.

Jenna Winter was a double-winner at RC with an 86-05 toss in the discus and a 7-06 mark in the pole vault. Kaitlyn Dordal (6-0) was 2nd in the vault. Jaclyn Hollenkamp placed 1st in the 100 (13.3) and was 2nd in the 200 (28.5). She joined Winter, Shamaria Jordan, and Miranda Wickman on the winning 4×100 relay (56.0).
