Stanchfield Baptist Church is pleased to welcome Rev. Tim Walker as lead pastor. Walker and his wife Bonnie officially began this full-time role April 1; however, Walker served the church in an interim capacity from May 1, 2013 until he was called to the lead pastor position.
An Open House to welcome the Walkers will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the church, 38850 Midway St. NE, Stanchfield.
The public is invited to join them for refreshments and a time to meet the Walkers. For further information contact the church at 320-396-3391.
The Walkers reside in Andover, where Bonnie is a teacher in the Anoka Hennepin School District. They are excited for the opportunity to become acquainted with the Stanchfield community and surrounding area. Their family includes two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and wife Lindsay, Dan and wife Brigitte.
Walker has served the local church for the past 30 years. His service included Youth Ministry at Trinity Baptist in Sioux Falls, S.D.; Church Planting in Carol Stream, Ill.; and Pastoral Ministry in Emery, S.D. and Ham Lake, Minn.
He holds a B.A. in Religion from North American Baptist College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; a Master of Divinity from North American Baptist Seminary in Sioux Falls, S.D.; and a Doctorate of Ministry from Sioux Falls Seminary in Sioux Falls, S.D.
His passion is leading others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, as well as discipleship ministry, particularly through small groups.
He desires to lead the church in a way that brings transformation, not only to the established body of believers, but beyond its walls and into the community.
