Local to participate in University of Northwestern choir tour

University of Northwestern – St. Paul announces that Emilee Selin, daughter of Roger and Marilee Selin of Cambridge, will be participating in the Northwestern Choir Tour 2014 to Czech Republic and Hungary.

The choir’s Bon Voyage concert, free and open to the public, takes place at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at Calvary Church, 2120 Lexington Ave. N, Roseville, Minn.

Selin is currently a senior pursuing a degree in music. She is a 2010 graduate of T.E.A.C.H. Homeshool.

The Northwestern Choir, conducted by Timothy Sawyer, will tour and perform in Czech Republic and Hungary May 20–June 2. Their repertoire features sacred and folk music and includes pieces by Tchesnokov, Gretchaninov, Pärt, Kodály, Orbán, Nystedt, Ešenvalds, Lauridsen, Paulus, Hovland, Runestad.
