TUESDAY SCORES 4/22: Senior hurler Jake Johnson limited host St. Michael-Albertville to 1 run and 8 hits over 6 innings, striking out 7, when Cambridge-Isanti Baseball improved to 3-0 with a 6-1 victory. Brandon Gageby rapped an RBI single in the second and an RBI double in the third to lead the Bluejacket offense.
C-I Softball beats Mora 13-10
Cambridge-Isanti rapped out 14 hits, including six doubles in April 21 win at Mora. Two hits apiece for Josie Potrament, Kayla Bowker, Abby Glotzbach, and Kate Hanson. Glotzbach had 4 RBIs, Anesia King had 3, and Kate Hanson had 2. Down 8-4 after 4 innings, the Jackets scored 5 in the 5th to reclaim the lead at 9-8. Jenna Ramberg started and picked up the win, with Hanson pitching the last three innings for the save with 7 strikeouts.
On April 22, the Jackets were clipped by St. Michael-Albertville 10-6. C-I pounded out 13 more hits but left numerous people in scoring position in another offensive day for both teams. Of the 13 hits, 4 were doubles and three were triples, and the Jackets also earned 6 walks. Leading hitters were Kayla Bowker and Kate Hanson with 3 hits each along with 1 RBI apiece. Casey Johnshoy was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Hanson pitched the full game and took the loss.
