Play Inc. Community Theatre will be performing How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying this weekend, with shows presented Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. at the Richard G. Hardy Performing Arts Center at Cambridge-Isanti High School.
Power, sex, ambition, greed … it’s just another day at the office. From the authors of Guys and Dolls comes one of the most delightfully irreverent musicals of all time.
A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying follows the rise of J. Pierpont Finch (performed by Mitchell Tillges) who uses a little handbook called “How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive. Along the way he tackles such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant “company man,” the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction, and of course, true love.
This wonderful musical has been on Broadway three times, first with Robert Morse as the lead. Then in the 1990s Matthew Broderick stepped into the office, and finally, two years ago Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, made the corporate climb. You will not want to miss this one!
Members of the cast and Play Inc.’s Board of Directors invite you to share in this memorable theatrical experience.
Tickets are available in advance by purchasing online at showtix4u.com. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors, $10 for adults. Tickets will also be available at the door for an additional $2/ticket.
