Maundy Thursday service at Cambridge Lutheran

On Thursday, April 17, Cambridge Lutheran Church will again host a mid-day Maundy Thursday church service with communion for all senior members of the church.

The church cordially invites not only their senior members, but also friends in the community who wish to join them. The church service begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. There is no charge for this meal, but there will be a free will offering for those who choose to contribute.

Following the noon meal, there will be a program including seasonal songs sung by the PrimeTime Singers, a community seniors singing group, and a short Easter video. This is a time of reverence for the Easter Season, as well as time for visiting and friendship. They hope some of their older members, who are in senior housing facilities or who have mobility problems, will be able to attend. All will need to call the church office to indicate their plan to attend.

For those who need help with transportation, notify the church office when you call to confirm your attendance. The church can be reached at 763-689-1211.

River of Life Church open house

River of Life Church is having an open house from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 12. Ever wonder what a non-denominational church is like? Schools hold open houses to let students and their parents see the classrooms, meet their teachers and find their lockers.

At River of Life’s open house you will get a tour of the new location — see the children’s area, nursery, and main Sunday service area. You will be able to meet the teachers and volunteers that serve in each area and ask any questions you may have.

If you do not have a home church, stop in at the open house and discover if River of Life Church is a match for you and your family. Sunday Services are held at the same location from 10:15-11 a.m. each Sunday. River of Life is located across from MinnCo Credit Union next to Corner Cup coffee at 150 Birch St. N. Suite 170, Cambridge. For more information visit www.riveroflifehome.com.
