Cambridge-Isanti senior Max Knowlton has agreed to attend Concordia College-Moorhead and play football for the Cobbers next autumn. He will initially be looked at for the outside linebacker or strong safety positions.
Knowlton was a versatile player for the Bluejackets the past three seasons. He ran hard on offense from the halfback position, and he was a hard hitter at linebacker on defense, earning All-Mississippi 8 honors this past season.
“Max was the ultimate team player. He was willing to do whatever it took for the benefit of the team and the program. He did things the ‘Bluejacket Way,’ which is playing unselfish, relentless football,” described C-I football coach Mike Hennen. “I am proud of the character and integrity that Max portrays day in and day out, and excited to see him bring his talents to the Cobbers.”
Knowlton was the 2014 Triple A Award boys representative from CIHS this year, joining senior Justine Larson who was the girls representative from CIHS.
