Alzheimer’s: Grow your Knowledge

Friday, March 14: A presentation onAlzheimer’s: Grow your Knowledge,’ will be held from 8-10 a.m. at GracePointe Crossing Commons, 1545 RiverHills Pkwy NW, Cambridge. All are welcome to join for the educational presentation to learn more about this disease that affects more than 100,000 Minnesotans. You will learn about identifying 10 warning signs for early detection; increase personal skills for interacting with those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s; learn typical behavior changes that may occur; and receive resource information available for caregivers.

Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fries

Friday, March 14: The Knights of Columbus Council #10238 will host Lenten Fish Fries every Friday through April 11 from 4:30- 7 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 207 Co. Rd. 23 NW, Isanti. All you care to eat Fish, potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw, dessert and coffee/milk will be served. $9.50/adults; $5/ages 6-12; age 5 and under free. Saturday, March 15: Ruby’s Pantry Food Distribution will be held from 8-9:30 a.m. at Elim Baptist Church in Isanti, 114 Dahlin Ave. $20 donation.

March Madness Art Expo & Sale

Saturday, March 15: Cambridge Center for the Arts invites the community to a new event, “March Madness Art Expo & Sale” — fine art and a fine time. Located in the new gallery space inside Cambridge’s City Center Mall at 140 Buchanan St. N., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you’ll be able to view and purchase gifts of local art, including paintings, pottery and more. Artists from the gallery will provide children’s face painting and henna tattoos for a small fee, and there will be a performance by EC3HO Children’s Honor Chorus conducted by Shirley Geib at 11 a.m. along with music by Kenny Krona at 12:30 p.m. There is no admission charge, and the event is open to the public.

Red Cross Blood Drive at Common Ground

Monday, March 17: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 1-7 p.m. at Common Ground (United Methodist Church), 404 North Cypress, Cambridge. Public Tours of Braham Community Center

Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution

Tuesday, March 18: The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution will be held at the Isanti County Fairgrounds. Registration and food distribution will be from 3-5:30 p.m. There will not be any preregistration. Do not arrive before 1 p.m. and there is no parking on the fairgrounds prior to 1 p.m. Food will be distributed to one person only per address. You must bring an ID with your current address on it or two pieces of mail addressed to you with your current address. For more information, call 763-691-9035.

Faith Lutheran Church Community Dinner

Friday, March 21: The Isanti Community Blood Drive will be held from 12:30-6:30 p.m. at Harvest Christian Center in Isanti (corner of County Road 5 and Highway 65). It will benefit the American Red Cross. Appointments can be made by calling 1-800-733-2767. Walk-in’s also welcome.

Our Response to host Tonic Sol-Fa
