Friends of the Isanti Area Library Book Sale
Feb. 21 & Feb. 22: The Friends of the Isanti Area Library will host a sale featuring used books, DVDs and audio. The sale will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 21 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 22. and held at the SOS Classroom, 110 NW Second Ave., Isanti (across from Faith Lutheran Church). Books only $.25. Isanti County Self-Advocacy Dinner & Dance
Friday, Feb. 21: Isanti County Self-Advocacy Dinner & Dance Fundraiser will be held at the Common Ground Methodist Church, 404 N. Cypress St. Cambridge. 5:30-6:30 p.m. is the Spaghetti Dinner, with the dance from 6:30-8:30 p.m. $5 admission for self-advocates, $3 for staff. Pork Chop Dinner
Saturday, Feb. 22: The Mission Society of St. John (St. John Lutheran Church-Weber) will host its 17th Annual Pork Chop Dinner and Silent Auction. Dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m., with bidding closing at 6:45 p.m. Door prize drawing at 6:45 p.m. (Need not be present to win). Tickets: Adults/$10, Children (6-12) $6, Children 5 & under free. Sons of Norway Meeting
Tuesday, Feb. 25: Rumelva Lodge, Sons of Norway in Cambridge, will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in the Historical Building. Men and women are invited to come and visit this friendly group and learn about Nordic culture. Sons of Norway is an organization that promotes and preserves the heritage and culture of Norway, and celebrates our relationship with other Nordic countries. One need not be Norwegian to attend. Adult Forum at Common Ground UMC
Sunday, March 2: “An enemy is someone whose story we have not yet heard.” If Christians believe that their tradition is the one true way and other faiths claim the same, how are we to live peacefully with each other in this very diverse world? The community is invited to an Adult Forum and conversation about the Islamic faith at 10:45 a.m. at Common Ground UMC, 404 N. Cypress, Cambridge. A speaker from the Minneapolis-based Islamic Resource Group, will join for a presentation and discussion about his faith tradition.
