Boys & Girls ages 4 through 10 are invited to the David C. Johnson Arena in Isanti for the first “Spring Learn to Skate” event on Sunday, Feb. 23 and March 2 at 10:50 a.m. For only $10, your child can take part in two sessions with instructors from the CIHA coaching staff. Skaters will be split into groups based on ability and will work on the appropriate skills for their level and continue to progress through to more advanced skills.
Also, the Cambridge-Isanti, Mora, North Branch and St. Francis Hockey Associations have teamed to host the National “Try Hockey for Free Day” on Saturday, March 1 at 10:50 a.m. This is a no-cost opportunity for kids to have fun and get exposure to hockey. The hour-long event covers various skating and stick handling activities.
All you need to participate in either event is a helmet (can be a bike), skates and gloves (can be winter), and a light jacket might be good. If needed, there is a limited amount of skates available at the rink to borrow, but come early to fit the right pair. For those interested in either event, please contact Ona Felton at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.cambridgeisantihockey.org.
