Regional Arts Council holds grant info sessions

There is no charge for the following sessions but preregistration is necessary. To register for any of these sessions contact the East Central Regional Arts Council office at 320-396-2337 or email info@ecrac.org. Grant application materials are online at www.ecrac.org/grants.

During these grant information sessions, ECRAC will offer information on the fiscal year 2014 ECRAC grant funding, grant applications, grant reviews and grant funding procedures. This is in preparation for the upcoming art grant application deadlines. The application forms and information will be available at the workshops. The location will be the East Central Regional Arts Council office located at 112 Main St. S in Braham. The next grant deadlines are March 1 and April 1. Grant applicants can be from the following counties: Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Pine.

Artists: ECRAC grant Programs for individual artists are the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, the McKnight/ECRAC Individual Artist Grant, the McKnight/ECRAC Fellowship, and the ECRAC K-12 Scholarships.  Grants for artists are up to $2,500 and Fellowships are $7,000. The upcoming grant information session will be Thursday, Feb. 20 at 4 p.m.

Organizations: ECRAC grant programs for organizations (501c3 non-profits, units of government, schools or other groups using a fiscal agent) are the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, and the Small/Art Project Assistance Grant.  Grant amounts range from $500 to $15,000. The upcoming grant information session will be Thursday,  March 6, at 2 p.m.

Schools: The upcoming grant information session for the ECRAC Art In Our Schools program will be Thursday, March 13 at 5 p.m. These grants are up to $1,000.

Technical Assistance: Technical assistance is also available for all potential grant applicants. Assistance is offered to grantees in addition to these grant workshops. Contact ECRAC with  grant application questions or to setup a time to review past successful grant applications and talk to ECRAC staff about possible ideas.
