Free Presentation on Staring Seeds Indoors

Thursday, Feb. 13: Ruth Thunstrom (Isanti County Master Gardener) will be giving a presentation on starting seeds indoors. Thunstrom will show you how to use simple equipment without needing a greenhouse to start your own seeds indoors. Save money and have greater choices in what you plant. She has been starting her own vegetable and flower seeds in her home for the last 10 years. Sweet Heart Dance features ‘Mad Cow Band’

Friday, Feb. 14: A Sweet Heart Dance with the ‘Mad Cow Band’ will be held from 7-11 p.m. at the Braham Area Community Center, 655 8th St. SW, just west of the elementary school. The band plays an eclectic blend of Americana including fiddle, accordion, guitar, blues, cajun and country. All ages welcome. Cash bar and food available. Couples: Presale discount, 2 for $15 or $17 at the door. Singles: Presale, $8 or $9 at the door. Ogilvie Spring Craft Fair

Saturday, Feb. 15: Ogilvie’s Spring Craft Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ogilvie Schools. Admission is a non-perishable food item. Soup luncheon available. Handmade items and commercial products on display.

Showing of ‘Kilowatt Ours’

Monday, Feb. 17: There will be a film screening of ‘Kilowatt Ours’ at 6 p.m. at the Princeton Library. The documentary is about energy production in America and how we can take simple steps to make a cleaner tomorrow. Refreshments, food and conversation will be provided.

Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution

Tuesday, Feb. 18: The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution will be held at the Isanti County Fairgrounds. Registration and food distribution will be from 3-5:30 p.m. There will not be any preregistration. Do not arrive before 1 p.m. Food will be distributed to one person only per address. Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting

Wednesday, Feb. 19: Parkinson’s Support Group will hold their regular monthly meeting from 10-11:30 a.m. at GracePointe Crossing, Commons Building, 1545 River Hills Parkway, Cambridge. Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, their families, Mends, and caregivers are invited to attend. Come and enjoy the fellowship, light refreshments, share interests, concerns, and more with others who are living with Parkinson’s.

Saturday, Feb. 22: A Mystery Dinner and Silent Auction will be held at Spectacular Events Banquet Center in Isanti to benefit the New Pathways, Inc. Path to Home shelter program for homeless families with children. Enjoy the prime rib and roasted chicken buffet while ‘Death by Chocolate’ is performed by ABC Theatre Company.
