Auditions set for Play Inc’s next production

H2$Play Inc’s next production, “How to Succeed at Business Without Really Trying,” is set to perform on April 25-27.

However, to have a show, they need performers, stage crew, technical help, and all other forms of volunteers.

“How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” centers on a young window-cleaner, J. Pierrepont Finch, who begins a meteoric rise from the mail room to Vice President of Advertising at the World-Wide Wicket Company. Finch’s unorthodox and morally questionable business practices jeopardize not only his career but also his romance with Secretary Rosemary Pilkington.

They will need to populate its 1960s corporation with actors and actresses who can create larger-than-life characters and singing and dancing chorus. They are looking for performers mostly in their 20s-50s, but there are a couple roles for performers who may be older than that.

If you are interested in getting involved on stage or behind the scenes, visit the Cambridge Center for the Arts location on Second Ave between Sidelines and American Janes in Cambridge on either Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 6:30-9 p.m. or Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Performers should come with a verse of any song prepared to sing. An accompaniment may be provided, but singers can choose to sing a cappella. Both performers and volunteers should have a good idea about availability, so they can schedule you when you are most available.
